Common questions

Do I need WordPress?
Not necessarily. For most small business sites I build a lightweight custom PHP site that loads faster and is easier to secure. WordPress is a great option when you need a large blog, lots of editors, or a specific plugin ecosystem.
What do I need to provide?
Your logo (if you have one), any existing brand colours, the pages you want and the general message for each. I can help with copywriting and images if needed.
Will I be able to update the content myself?
Yes. For most projects I include a simple admin area to update text, images and add blog posts — without touching code.
Do you offer hosting?
I can set up hosting on a reliable provider and manage it for you, or I can deploy to your existing host. Monthly hosting management starts from £20/mo.
How long does a website take?
A 5-page business site typically takes 5–10 working days once I have all your content. Larger builds or web apps take 3–8 weeks.
What happens after launch?
All projects include at least a month of free support for bugs and minor tweaks. After that you can continue on a monthly retainer or on a pay-as-you-go basis.
